Our new website is up and running!! Well, mostly running....at least a little. The more I think about what I want to/could do with this site, the more overwhelming it seems. So, for my own sanity, and so people can hold me accountable for progress, here is a list of the items I want to accomplish with this website:
- Communicate with the larger Bushey clan in an easy and entertaining manner
- Display the Jacob Bushey letters. Both for the family and anyone else in the public at large with an interest in Civil War history.
- Share Bushey family memories including, but not limited to:
- Pictures
- Reunion records
- Family recipes
- Show the Bushey family tree
- Let family members share what is on their hearts and minds
- Maintain a list of contact information for all members of the extended Bushey family
I'm sure there are other things that we will want to do with the site, but I think that is a pretty good start for now. I will try to maintain this blog and let everyone know what new features are under development and what will be happening next with the site. If you have other ideas of what we should do with the site, please post them in a comment below.
